Imogen works part time within the Private Office Group as Administrative Assistant and Legal Secretary.
Imogen is currently studying for her Qualifying Law Degree at Kingston University.
She is a keen member of the Kingston Law Students Mooting Society, and she has recently been selected to represent Kingston University at the European Centre for Space Law’s “Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court (Advocacy) Competition”.
This is co-organised with the Lisbon Nova Law School, in Lisbon, Portugal and the competition will be held from 21st to 24th May 2018 where Imogen and her team will argue in Court in front of 3 distinguished Judges.
The regional winners will be sponsored to compete at the World Finals which are organised by the International Institute for Space law, at the IAC – the annual meeting forum for the global space community, and will be organised in Bremen, Germany, from 1st to 5th October 2018. Imogen has not decided yet whether she wishes to pursue a career as a solicitor or a barrister.
As well as working with us part time for more than a full year already, Imogen has benefitted from gaining work experience in our Hong Kong office during July 2016, working primarily with Jeanette Richardson – Joint Managing Partner of Simmonds Private Office (Hong Kong) – a trading style of Simmonds (International) Financial Associates Limited in Hong Kong.
Away from studies and work, Imogen enjoys skiing, playing tennis and horse riding. Having ski’d twice a year since the tender age of 7, Imogen is a proficient skier, and she represented Burgess Hill School for Girls at tennis during her time there. A very keen and committed equestrian, Imogen owns, looks after and regularly rides her 3 horses, – “Mr Pogle”, “Lieutenant Bruce” and “Captain Howie”.
Previously, Imogen worked part time at the Sussex Polo Club, and therefore understands completely what it means to be worked beyond the call of duty!
